Q.01How does Brain Buddy AI connect to Google Analytics?
Through Google's official OAuth 2.0 authentication. During onboarding, you authorise read-only access to your GA4 property. The connection uses refresh tokens for continuous access without storing your Google password, and we only request the minimum permissions needed: analytics read access and Search Console read access.
Q.02What data does Brain Buddy AI access from Google Analytics and Search Console?
From GA4: sessions, users, new users, page views, bounce rate, average session duration, conversions, and AI referral traffic (sessions from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini). From Search Console: clicks, impressions, click-through rates, average position, top queries, and top pages. All access is read-only; we never modify your analytics configuration.
Q.03Is my Google Analytics data secure?
We use Google's official OAuth 2.0 protocol with read-only scopes, so we never see or store your Google password. Access tokens are encrypted and stored securely. We work with the aggregated metrics the Google APIs report, not personal visitor profiles, and we never share your analytics data with third parties. Access is revocable any time from your Google Account.
Q.04Can the AI agents work without Google Analytics connected?
Yes. The SEO Agent and Monitoring Agent both work without Google data, analysing your pages based on content and structure. Connecting GA4 and Search Console improves prioritisation, though, because the agents can weigh real traffic patterns and keyword performance rather than assumptions.
